The Community Development Network provides scholarships and educational supplies and/or training to individuals and communities where poverty is rife. We rely on community partners who conduct needs assessments of potential recipients of funds.
The main source for verification of need and determination of eligibility for support from CDN includes: national and regional demographic reports on health and education collected and interpreted by office staff in concert with field reports from local facilities who conduct interviews with potential beneficiaries. These details are reviewed by CDN trustees who then designate appropriation of funds.
Our main aims and objectives are: · building community organizational capacity · promoting development awareness · facilitating the development process · cultivating literacies for social change CDN links resources to people who need them. These resources come in the form of knowledge-sharing, innovative ideas, strategic planning, technical training, in-kind goods and financial support. |
